Union Park was conceived as a new downtown high rise mixed use center, creating a vertical urban village of residential, retail, and office uses. Located on a 61-acre remediated Union Pacific Railroad property in downtown Las Vegas, the character of Union Park is distinct from the Strip, with a quieter, more livable neighborhood style. Its name implies an urban, edgy, artful district within the city, with a nod to its colorful past and present. A promenade is the central organizing element of the project, creating a central link between a medical campus to the south and performing arts complex to the north. The promenade is oriented to maximize shade on the street, creating a comfortable environment for pedestrians.
The project was completed in partnership with Design Workshop. Integrated teams from both firms worked together to develop a master plan and a  detailed set of design guidelines, which included block diagrams, architectural guidelines and street character recommendations.
